Your Itinerary
Day 1
Touch down at Cusco airport, where our private vehicle, driver, and friendly English-speaking guide will be waiting to whisk you away on a beautiful, two-hour drive to Ollantaytambo. Enjoy scenic photo stops along the way before checking into your hotel. After settling in, take a leisurely stroll through this incredible Incan town, one of the oldest in the Americas. Explore the fascinating ruins with your knowledgeable local guide and soak in the vibrant market atmosphere at your own pace!
Day 2
Start your day with a delicious breakfast of fresh local fruits, coffee, bread, and eggs. Gear up for an exhilarating day of bicycling through the stunning Patacancha Valley, known for its Incan terracing, waterfalls, and charming communities. Midway through our adventure, we'll stop for a home-cooked meal at a Peruvian family's house, giving you a taste of their rich culture. After a satisfying lunch, we continue to the Urubamba, Salt Mines of Maras, and Moray region for more exploration.
Day 3
Today, we hike through ancient ruins near Ollantaytambo, including Naupa Iglesia, one of the most important Incan archaeological sites in the Sacred Valley. Discover ceremonial buildings, storage houses, and enclosures with some of the finest quality stonework. Enjoy a peaceful picnic lunch before continuing our hike back to Ollantaytambo. Choose from three difficulty levels or opt for a horseback ride or strenuous hike to Inti Punku for a customized adventure.
Day 4
Get ready for a thrilling descent into the high Amazon Jungle! We'll drive to Abra Malaga and the Continental Divide, then embark on an exhilarating 9,000-foot bike ride down to the jungle town of Santa Maria. This breathtaking ride is one of the most exciting anywhere! Afterward, we travel to our Eco Lodge in Santa Theresa. Unwind in the wonderful natural hot springs, perfect for relaxing after days of adventure.
Day 5
After an easy-going morning and breakfast, we'll begin a lovely hike alongside the Urubamba River to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu. Catch your first glimpses of the iconic Incan buildings high on the mountainside. This beautiful hike also offers the option to stop at a waterfall and botanical garden. Spend the evening exploring the delightful town of Machu Picchu.
Day 6
The highlight of your trip has arrived – a visit to Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the World! Fully acclimated and immersed in Peruvian culture, you'll be ready to appreciate its splendor. Despite the photos you've seen, nothing compares to experiencing Machu Picchu in person. We'll get up early, take the bus to the site, and explore the awe-inspiring Incan ruins with your expert guide. Afterward, we'll head back down and catch a train through the jungle to Ollantaytambo.
Day 7
After breakfast, we make the scenic two-hour drive to Cusco, marking the end of your unforgettable journey. Whether you need to catch a flight or have some time to explore Cusco, your guide will ensure you reach your destination safely.
